United Way Wants YOU to Stuff the Bus!
Schools are gearing up for the first day of class, and the United Way of Western Kentucky wants to be sure every student has the tools needed to succeed this year!
Celebrating its 17th year, the United Way's Stuff the Bus school supply drive—an event that began in 2010—has shoppers at both Paducah Walmart locations literally loading a yellow school bus with donations. This year's event is Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
United Way volunteers will distribute shopping lists with needed school supplies at both Paducah Walmart locations, Hinkleville Road and Irvin Cobb Drive. Shoppers can purchase their donations and drop them off on their way out of stores.
At 1:00 PM, volunteers will follow the school buses to a school gym to unload and sort supplies.
You can also drop off school supplies at Signet Federal Credit Union and McCracken Library.
Now serving a broader region, United Way of Western Kentucky will distribute donations to benefit students in Ballard, Carlisle, and McCracken counties, with continued efforts to support other counties in our service area through basic necessities.
In past years, Stuff the Bus has helped more than 1,100 students annually.
See below to volunteer, list of supplies needed and cash donations are also accepted on-site during the event or right here anytime!
Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Signet Federal Credit Union, for making Stuff the Bus possible.
